Macon Youth Expo draws attention to programs aimed at keeping kids physically, mentally healthy

Function coordinators say the systems have been scientifically tested to function and teach little ones lifestyle skills
MACON, Ga. — The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Energy and Likely (GCAPP) held the Macon Youth Expo Saturday to raise awareness for youth programs to maintain little ones mentally and bodily healthful.
Celebration coordinators say the plans have been scientifically established to work and instruct young ones existence skills. Classes from the systems purpose to instruct little ones about negotiation, consent, and standard schooling.
The director of GCAPP’s community-centered initiatives, Dion Walker-Smith, spoke about why the applications are essential.
“We just want to make positive they’re secured. We want to give them data on how they can reduce STIs, undesirable pregnancies, how they can be effective. We want them to graduate from substantial school and go on to college or into work and so this talks about programming, how we can carry out that and the point is it’s free of charge,” she said.
The expo was free of charge and open up to everyone at the Rosa Jackson Recreation Center from 11 a.m. to noon on Maynard Road.
Those people that went were able to get pleasure from foods vehicles, tunes and other enjoyable functions like a 360 photograph booth.
